Barry and Maya Spector live in

Menlo Park, California. 

Barry writes about American history and politics from the perspectives of myth and archetypal psychology. His book, Madness At The Gates Of The City: The Myth Of American Innocence, will be published in  2010 by Regent Press. He runs a furniture moving business, but he’d rather move your soul.

Maya is a storyteller, poet, ritualist, retired children’s librarian, and certified SoulCollage facilitator.  She is proud to be a member of Stone Dancers, a women’s circle meeting since 1984. 

Maya has a book on Persephone in progress.  She has

a poem published in the book Red Thread Gold Thread: The Poet’s Voice. She also has poems in Talking To Goddess. She participates in the Jumpstart Writers group, and you can read some of her writing (fiction and poetry) on their blog.

Maya and Barry have two wonderful grown sons (who have started their own men’s group) a beautiful daughter-in-law (who has been to almost every Persephone ritual Maya has offered), and a granddaughter born in May, 2010.
